SAN ANTONIO, TX – A young boy was rushed to the hospital after a collision southwest of downtown San Antonio in the early morning hours Sunday.
According to My San Antonio, the crash occurred at about 3:50 a.m. near the intersection of Stonybrook Drive and Merry Oaks Drive.
Police believe the driver of an SUV fell asleep behind the wheel causing the vehicle to roll over and crash into a truck carrying a man and his son. The child suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to University Hospital.
No charges have been filed against the driver of the SUV. However, the driver of the truck has been charged with DWI with a child passenger.
