Driver arrested in connection early May hit-and-run in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The man responsible for fatally striking a jogger along Loop 1604 in early May was taken into custody on Tuesday.

According to a report by KSAT, Linda Rosenstein was struck and killed on May 2nd at about 7 a.m. while jogging along the freeway between Lockhill Selma Road and MW Military Highway.

Rosenstein was found dead in the grass shoulder by a cyclist shortly after.

A concerned citizen’s tip regarding a potential suspect vehicle led police to 28-year-old Joel Angel Zaragoza. Police located the vehicle which had a repaired mirror along with damage to the front-end that was consistent with the crash.

Zaragoza was arrested and charged with failure to stop and render aid resulting in death.
