Driver backs into vehicle on East Washington Street

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Two vehicles collided on Wednesday afternoon, when a driver backed into a car near the intersection of East Washington Street and 12th Street.

The driver of a white 2005 Dodge was backing up and did not see the silver 2015 Buick behind them, which caused the collision. My Accident reports that the incident occurred on May 6 around 12:24 p.m.

The Dodge sustained moderate damage to the back-right end of the vehicle. The Buick sustained significant damage to the back-left end of the vehicle. Despite the damage, both cars were able to drive away from the scene without tow-truck assistance.

An officer from the Brownsville Police Department reported that neither driver was injured in the accident.

The police found the Dodge at fault for the accident because the driver was backing-up at an unsafe time.
