SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man died after a driver suffering a medical episode careened into a bus stop in northwest San Antonio on Tuesday.
According to KENS, 54-year-old Robert Nunez was struck by a pickup truck while waiting at a bus stop within the 1400 block of Vance Jackson Road.
Investigators believe the driver of a Ford Ranger was transporting himself to the hospital for another injury when he passed out behind the wheel. The pickup truck drifted across the oncoming lanes of traffic and crashed into the bus stop, pinning Nunez.
Nunez was rushed to University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning.
The condition of the driver responsible for the fatal crash is unclear.
