Emergency crews respond to fatal 2-vehicle crash on Grissom Rd

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A fatal two-vehicle collision killed two people and injured three others right in front of the Whataburger at 8756 Grissom Rd Sunday, according to KSAT.

The 28-year-old driver of a Volkswagen SUV was speeding on eastbound Grissom Rd when it plowed into a Toyota pickup truck exiting the fast-food restaurant, causing both vehicles to roll over. The impact sent the Volkswagen sliding on its roof hundreds of feet.

First responders were called to the scene around 11 p.m. They pronounced the driver and passenger, 24-year-old Christopher Matthew Taylor, dead at the crash site. They also transported a passenger from the Volkswagen and the driver and a passenger from the Toyota to an area hospital in critical condition.
