Injured child pulled from fatal collision on De Zavala Rd.

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Bystanders to a fatal high-speed crash on De Zavala Road jumped into action pulling a small child from one of the vehicles involved Sunday evening.

According to KENS, the accident occurred sometime before 6 p.m. when the driver of a Ford Sedan was speeding down the street when he side-swiped another vehicle and was sent into oncoming traffic before colliding head-on with an Acura.

The man in the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The two occupants were transported to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the crash.

Witnesses were able to pull a small child from the Ford following the crash. Details regarding their condition remain unknown at this time.
