Man hospitalized following Northeast San Antonio bicycle accident

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle northeast of downtown San Antonio late Monday night.

The accident occurred within the intersection of Walzem Road and Fourwinds Drive at about 11:15 p.m., KSAT reports.

Police say the bicyclist, an unidentified man in his 50s was attempting to ride across the street against the traffic signal when he was struck by a westbound sedan. He was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injures.

The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene. No charges are expected to be filed in connection to this northeast San Antonio bicycle accident.
