SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while sprinting into traffic on I-35 Saturday night.
According to San Antonio Express-News, the unidentified pedestrian was struck at about 11:40 p.m. when he disregarded all traffic and ran into oncoming traffic near Thousand Oaks Drive.
Police say several vehicles swerved to avoid striking the man, but one ended up hitting him. The pedestrian was thrown to the shoulder of the roadway and subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries.
The driver involved remained at the scene. It is unclear if that individual will face any charges at this time.
