Man struck by 2 cars, killed after leaving bar in NW San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was struck by two cars and killed while leaving his birthday party at a bar in northwest San Antonio on Friday night, KSAT reports.

The fatal collision took place near the Dragon Bar, located at 1353 Bandera Road, shortly after 9 p.m. Police say the victim, a man in his 40s, was leaving his birthday celebration and failed to yield to traffic as he crossed Bandera outside a designated crosswalk. He was struck first by a black Ford SUV that fled the scene without stopping, and then by a second vehicle as he lay in the roadway.

The second driver stopped and contacted emergency services, who pronounced the injured pedestrian dead at the scene.

A search for the Ford SUV and its driver is ongoing. We will provide further updates as possible.
