FORT WORTH, TX – The Associated Press reports that one of the two pilots injured in a plane crash in the Lake Worth neighborhood has been released from the hospital.
An instructor pilot and student were inside the plane, a Navy T-45G Goshawk jet, when it went down in a routine test flight Sunday morning. They took off from the Corpus Christi International Airport and crashed somewhere in Lake Worth, damaging three homes.
The pilot and student ejected from the jet before the crash. One of the pilots was caught in power lines and emergency crews found the other in the Lake Worth neighborhood.
According to officials from the Navy, the instructor pilot was released from the hospital Monday. The student pilot is still hospitalized in serious condition.
