Pedestrian hospitalized after South Side San Antonio crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio man is recovering in the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a South Side street Monday night.

According to KSAT, the accident occurred near the intersection of Pleasanton Road and Lee Street sometime before 7:30 p.m.

Officials at the scene say the pedestrian stepped into traffic outside of the designated crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a woman in her 30s or 40s.

The woman stopped to render aid to the unidentified pedestrian. He was transported to a local hospital where his condition remains unknown as of this writing.

No charges are expected to be filed against the driver in this case.
