Pedestrian struck, killed by hit-and-run driver while walking on I-35

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – Police in New Braunfels are searching for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash that took the life of a man walking along I-35 late Monday night.

According to KSAT, the pedestrian was struck at about 8:15 p.m. within the 1900 block of I-35 near the Farm-to-Market Road 306 overpass.

Responding officers believe the driver struck the unidentified male pedestrian and immediately fled the scene. The victim was then hit again by at least two additional vehicles.

It is unclear why the man was walking on the freeway at the time of the crash. No further information regarding the driver or vehicle responsible for the crash is available.
