Pedestrian struck, killed while attempting to cross I-35

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio man died after being struck by an SUV while crossing an exit-ramp on I-35 early Friday morning.

According to My San Antonio, the collision occurred shortly before 5:00 a.m. on the I-35 exit to Rittiman Road. Police say the driver of a white SUV was exiting the interstate when a man seemed to suddenly appear on the ramp.

The driver attempted to avoid hitting the man but was unable to swerve out of the way in time. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crime.

No identifying information on anyone involved in the crash has been made available as of yet. No charges are expected to be filed against the SUV driver at this time.
