Pedestrian struck while walking in prohibited area

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio man was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a pickup truck while walking in an area that is prohibited to pedestrians early Thursday morning.

According to News 4 SA, the accident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. when the pedestrian was walking in the center lane in dark clothing.

The female driver of a Ford was pulling into a private parking area when she struck the man. She claims she did not notice the man until it was too late to swerve out of the way. No charges are expected to be filed against her at this time.

The pedestrian was taken to University Hospital in stable condition following the crash.
