San Antonio man crashes into pole while fleeing shooter

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man from San Antonio was transported to the hospital after crashing into a utility pole and a tree while attempting to escape a shooter Friday morning.

According to KENS, the accident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. within the 2600 block of Commerce Street.

Police arrived to discover the vehicle had crashed into a pole and a tree after sustaining several gunshots to the windshield.

While the driver does not appear to have been shot, he was rushed to the hospital to be treated for injuries related to the crash. Details regarding his condition remain unknown at this time.

Officers were unable to find any shell casings or signs of the shooter at the scene of the crash. No other injuries were reported.
