PLEASANTON, TX – According to News 4, two people are dead after a train fatally collided with a car at U.S. 281 and Strawberry City Rd Friday.
The driver failed to yield at a railroad crossing and was hit by the train at around 7:10 a.m. The vehicle was occupied by Robert Wayne Hetzer Jr, 25, Alyson Yvette Hetzer, 26, and their three children.
First responders pronounced the two adults dead at the scene of the accident and transported the three children to an area hospital in serious condition.
