Man killed, child seriously injured in southeast San Antonio crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was killed and three others, including a small child, were injured as the result of a pedestrian accident near Comanche Park Wednesday evening.

According to WOAI, the accident took place at about 5:30 p.m. within the 2600 block of Rigsby Avenue.

Police say the unidentified 80-year-old man was crossing Rigsby Ave. when he was struck by an oncoming silver vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead upon officers’ arrival at the scene. Three of the four individuals in the car, including a 2-year-old girl, sustained injuries when the vehicle caught fire.

The child is said to be clinging to life at a local hospital. The condition of the other victims is unknown at this time.
