SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 22-year-old man is facing a number of charges after he fatally struck a pedestrian Monday night.
According to KTSA, the crash occurred near the intersection of Gillette Boulevard and S. Zarzamora Street.
Police say a 66-year-old man was crossing the street when he was struck by the driver. Paramedics attempted life-saving measures on the man. However, they were unsuccessful and he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The driver attempted to flee the scene but turned himself in. He has been charged with fleeing the scene of a collision resulting in death.
