PENITAS, TX – According to KURV, two people died and several others were injured following a rollover crash that happened during a police pursuit on Jara Chinas Rd Friday.
A state trooper had pulled over the driver of a Ford F-150 with ten people in the vehicle’s bed over for a traffic violation. The driver sped off and lost control past Mile 7, where the roadway became dirt. The people in the bed of the truck were thrown into the road.
First responders pronounced two people dead at the scene around 8 a.m. The other occupants of the vehicle were taken to the hospital with varying conditions.
