21-year-old indicted on suspected DWI charges in connection to fatal May crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 21-year-old San Antonio woman is facing an intoxication manslaughter charge following a fatal May car accident.

According to KSAT, 44-year-old Gabrial Gallegos was traveling in the eastbound lanes of Loop 1604 at about 2 a.m. on May 23rd when he was struck head-on by a Mercedes-Benz.

Police believe the driver of the Mercedes, 21-year-old Mariana Campos-Jimenez, was intoxicated and driving in the wrong direction when she collided with Gallego’s SUV.

Campos-Jimenez was arrested on Friday and is facing a number of charges including intoxication manslaughter.
