Mark your calendars for Friday, April 10, 2026 at 6:00 PM and join the community at The Water’s Edge Park in Corpus Christi for the 4th Annual TARS Awareness 5K.

This inspiring event supports families affected by TARS Syndrome and brings together runners, walkers, children, advocates, and local businesses for an evening of awareness, unity, and celebration.

Packet Pick-Up:

  • Thursday, April 9th: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM & 4:30 PM – 5:45 PM
    At Fleet Feet – 1412 Airline Rd

  • Race Day: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM at the event site

⚠️ Important Reminder: Kids’ registration prices increase to $25 on March 1st — register early to secure the lower rate.

Virtual Option Available

Can’t attend in person? Choose the virtual runner option! Virtual participants receive an event T-shirt and finisher medal. Be sure to tag the organization on social media when you complete your 5K to show your support from wherever you are.

What Is the TARS Awareness 5K?

Hosted by TARS Awareness Texas, this annual race is designed to raise awareness about TARS Syndrome while supporting the families who live with it every day.

The event includes:

  • A 5K race (overall awards only: Overall Male/Female and Master Male/Female)

  • A 1-Mile Walk option

  • A Virtual 5K option (includes event T-shirt and finisher medal)

  • Music, food, drinks, and games

  • A sea of blue shirts showing solidarity

Participants are encouraged to wear blue to help make TARS “SEEN” and “HEARD.”

About TARS Awareness Texas

TARS Awareness Texas is a Texas-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by TARS Syndrome while promoting awareness, inclusion, and education across our communities.
