MISSION, TX – Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating a multi-vehicle collision involving a 15-year-old driver Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred on West Mile 5 Road at the intersection with Burshline Road at about 12:40 p.m.
Investigators at the scene say the 15-year-old boy behind the wheel of a 2004 Land Rover failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a 2015 Ford carrying 3 children. Luckily, no injuries were reported as an immediate result of the crash.
An investigation into why the 15-year-old was driving remains underway.
