19-year-old Fort Hood man killed in crash on I-35

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – A man in his teens was killed as the result of a single-vehicle collision on I-35 early Monday morning.

According to Fox 29 San Antonio, the accident occurred along I-35 North, near the Creekside Crossing overpass.

Investigators say the unidentified 19-year-old male driver of a Volkswagen Passat drifted off the freeway and collided with a utility pole at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle then rolled over and crashed into a field near the access road.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, possibly hours after the collision occurred.
