3-year-old child killed killed in San Antonio crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 3-year-old child from Laredo was killed following a previously reported wrong-way crash in San Antonio last Friday.

According to My San Antonio, the collision occurred within the 3700 block of East Southcross near Salado Creek.

Police say 37-year-old Aracelly Avalos Ramirez was traveling in the wrong direction when she ran head-on into a vehicle driven by the child’s aunt.

The child was rushed to a local hospital where he died a short time later. Ramirez was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

The child’s aunt was also transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
