Animal Care Services rescue horses from San Antonio tractor-trailer crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Officials with Animal Care Services were able to rescue two horses after a collision involving an 18-wheeler on I-10 Monday.

According to San Antonio Express-News, the crash occurred along I-10 near the exit to Ackerman Road northeast of downtown.

Officials at the scene say the accident happened when an 18-wheeler slammed into the rear of a trailer hauling the horses. A veterinarian was called to the scene to examine the animals, both of which are expected to recover.
