NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – A motorist was lucky to escape without injury after their vehicle burst into flames on an I-35 frontage road this morning.
FOX 29 reports that the incident happened on the northbound frontage road near Camping World at about 6 a.m. this morning. The unidentified motorist smelled smoke and pulled his vehicle to the side of the road. He collected his possessions and exited the vehicle as it went up in flames.
Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle totally engulfed in flames, but were nonetheless able to quickly extinguish the fire.
No one was injured. Investigations into its cause are ongoing.
