Distracted driver injures one in Mission

MISSION, TX – A distracted driver crashed into another vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, injuring the driver of a 2012 Dodge.

The Mission Police Department reported that the accident occurred at 4:56 p.m. on June 23. A 63-year-old man driving a silver 2014 Toyota failed to pay attention while driving on U.S. Business 183 near North Shary Road. The Toyota rear-ended a silver 2012 Dodge, causing minor damage to both vehicles.

Officers on the scene reported that the 57-year-old woman driving the Dodge sustained injuries from the accident. However, the Toyota driver was uninjured during the collision.

The police found the Toyota at fault for the distracted driving accident.
