Drunk driver runs red light, kills 3 at Culebra Rd and Tx 1604 Lp

SAN ANTONIO – Three people are dead after an alleged drunk driver ran a red light and plowed into their SUV Sunday morning, according to News 4 San Antonio.

The unidentified 17-year-old suspect was on southbound Culebra Rd when it collided with a vehicle occupied by four people traveling eastbound on the Tx 1604 Access Rd.

Dispatchers sent emergency crews to the crash site around 1:30 a.m. They pronounced the two men, Daniel Valenzuela, 37, and Daniel Valenzuela Sr, 69, dead at the scene of the accident.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the two women. They were then taken to the hospital where one of the them, Andrea Uvalle, 84, died from their injuries.

The suspect was hospitalized in stable condition.
