Emergency crews pull woman from single-vehicle crash in north San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Firefighters worked to free a woman from her vehicle following a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

According to KSAT, the accident took place at about 5:35 a.m. along SH-281 near the Wurzbach Parkway.

Investigators believe the unidentified 40-year-old female driver was traveling northbound on the highway when she swerved to avoid an object in the roadway. The vehicle then spun out and collided with a barrier, trapping the woman inside.

Upon arrival, EMTs worked to extricate the woman using the jaws of life. She was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash.
