Ford sideswipes Chevrolet along Espinoza Rd. in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety were called to the scene of a suspected DWI collision near La Paloma early last week.

The March 2nd crash took place at about 6:54 p.m. within the 21000 block of Espinoza Road near the intersection with Farm-to-Market Road 408.

Police say the 63-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2006 Ford was under the influence when he failed to maintain a single lane and sideswiped a 2005 Chevrolet carrying a 7-year-old child.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
