Girl injured in 2-vehicle crash caused by possible stoplight malfunction

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A multi-vehicle crash injured a 10-year-old girl at Del Lago Pkwy and US 281 South on Saturday afternoon, according to KSAT.

The driver of a Ford Focus that was traveling north on US 281 told police that the stoplight at the highway’s intersection with Del Largo Parkway was malfunctioning.

As the driver was trying to reverse out of the intersection, they were t-boned by a pickup truck that was on southbound US 281.

All four occupants of the Ford Focus were hospitalized. One of the occupants was a ten-year-old girl, she sustained a leg injury in the crash.

Of the three occupants of the pickup truck, one was taken to an area hospital.

The stoplight malfunction is under investigation by police. They have not filed charges against either driver at this time.
