MCALLEN, TX – Officers with the McAllen Police Department reported at least one injury resulting from a head-on collision near Rosalyn Suarez Park last Tuesday afternoon.
The accident was reported at about 3:51 p.m. within the 2400 block of Dallas Avenue near the intersection with South 25th Street.
Police believe the 19-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2007 Chevrolet ran through a stop sign and was struck by a 2014 Nissan in the intersection.
The driver in the Nissan, a 59-year-old woman, was reportedly injured as a result of the crash. Details regarding the extent of her injuries remain unknown at this time.
