Injury reported following McAllen police chase, crash

MCALLEN, TX – One person was reportedly injured following a pursuit and ensuing collision on North 27th Street Monday afternoon.

The collision occurred at about 1:33 p.m. within the 1500 block of N. 27th Street near State Highway 495.

Responding officers with the McAllen Police say the 16-year-old male driver of a 2019 Ford was attempting to evade police when he crashed with a fixed object in the roadway at a high rate of speed.

The driver was not injured as a result of the crash. However, a 14-year-old male passenger sustained unknown injuries.
