MISSION, TX – Officers with the Mission Police Department responded to an auto vs. semi collision near SH-495 Monday afternoon.
The incident was reported at about 12:21 p.m. within the 2400 block of Timberwood Avenue just north of the SH-495 access road.
Investigators say the driver of a 2013 Peterbilt was backing up when it was unsafe to do so and was rear-ended by a 2007 Nissan after that driver made a faulty evasive action.
Neither the 63-year-old male truck driver nor the 18-year-old man in the Nissan was injured as a result of the crash.
