Officers on the scene of Pharr hit-and-run collision

PHARR, TX – Officers with the Pharr Police Department responded to a hit-and-run collision near I-2 last Wednesday morning.

The incident was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. within the 1200 block of Polk Avenue just west of I-2.

Police believe the unidentified male driver of a silver Ford failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and collided with the front end of a 2020 Volvo.

The 59-year-old man in the Volvo was unhurt. However, the driver responsible for the crash left the scene before authorities arrived. A third vehicle was also involved. That driver also left the scene before filing a report.
