Public works employee fatally strikes pedestrian in southeast San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Officers with the San Antonio Police Department were called to the scene of a fatal collision southeast of downtown early Thursday morning.

According to KENS, the accident occurred after the public works employee was cleared a drainage area along Goliad Road near Southeast Military Drive.

Police say as the worker drove away from the scene, he felt something under his tires. That is when he discovered the deceased victim covered in clothing and debris from the drainage area under this vehicle.

The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation into the case. Police say the accident was a tragic accident and no charges have been filed against the public works employee.
