UPDATE: Police Charge Intoxicated Driver with Killing Pedestrian

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Thirty six-year-old Albert Martinez was charged with intoxication manslaughter on Saturday, April 25. According to the Caller Times, Martinez hit and killed an unnamed 29-year-old and then left the scene of the accident without calling the police. The incident occurred at the intersection of 17th Street and Laredo Street on March 1, 2019.

A grand jury in Nueces County indicted Martinez on April 16, 2020. He was booked into the Nueces Country Jail at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday on a $125,000 bond. Police records indicate that Martinez paid his bond and is out of jail at this time.
