MATHIS, TX – The person killed in a hit-and-run on I-37 last Monday morning has been identified, according to the Alice Echo-News Journal.

Emergency crews were called to a section of I-37 approximately three miles south of Mathis after receiving reports of a hit-and-run collision. They pronounced Arnulfo Leyva dead at the scene.
Authorities believe the suspect’s vehicle is a Dodge Ram 1500 with damage to both its front bumper and front headlamp.
They are urging that anyone with information concerning the crash contact the Texas Department of Public Safety.
