Woman struck, killed by hit-and-run driver on I-37 in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A woman was fatally struck while standing outside of her vehicle on I-37 Sunday evening.

According to KIII, the accident took place on April 25th at about 7 p.m.

Investigators say the woman in her 20s stopped and got out of her vehicle for unknown reasons when she was struck by a dark-colored vehicle. The driver responsible for the crash fled without offering assistance to the victim.

The woman, whose identity is being withheld at this time, was pronounced dead at the scene.
