MISSION, TX – An officer with the Mission Police Department is recovering in the hospital after being struck by a motorist late Tuesday morning.
According to KEVO, the accident occurred near the intersection of Conway Avenue and 12th Street. An official investigation into the circumstances leading up to the crash is underway. However, officials say the officer was hurt when he was forced to lay down his motorcycle to avoid a crash.
He sustained a minor head injury and was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
