La Jolla Teen charged in connection to fatal rollover collision

MCALLEN, TX – Police in McAllen have one man in custody in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash that took the life of an 8-year-old boy Sunday.

According to The Monitor, Saul Aguirre was fleeing the scene of a prior rear-end crash when he collided with another vehicle near the 1500 block of South Ware Road.

Soon after the first collision, Aguirre lost control of his vehicle causing it to roll several times, ejecting a man and his 8-year-old son, killing the boy.

Aguirre has been charged with a number of crimes including manslaughter and aggravated assault in connection to the incident. He is being held on a $215,000 bond.
