Injury Reported Following 5-Vehicle Collision Involving Tractor-Trailer in Pharr

PHARR, TX – Police in McAllen have reported at least one injury resulting from a five-vehicle crash last Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 4 p.m. along I-2 near the U.S. Business 83 overpass.

Officers with the McAllen Police Department believe the 18-year-old female driver of a 2015 Nissan was traveling at a high rate of speed when she rear-ended another vehicle.

The initial impact of the crash caused a chain reaction that involved a GMC, Ford, Kenworth tractor-trailer, and another unknown vehicle.

A 50-year-old male in the Ford was reportedly injured as a result of the crash. Details regarding the extent of his injuries remain unknown at this time.
