Injuries suspected following collision on FM 493 in Donna

DONNA, TX – Police believe two people may have been injured following a collision on FM 493 just north of I-2 on Saturday.

According to a report filed by the Donna Police Department, the driver of a green 2000 Nissan was not paying attention and failed to yield to a black 2006 BMW, leading to a nearly head-on collision. Both drivers may have been injured. They were the only occupants of the vehicles.

While that portion of FM 493 has a 55 mph speed limit, it is not clear how fast the vehicles were traveling when they collided.
