SAN ANTONIO, TX – An elderly man was fatally struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross SH-151 on San Antonio’s far west side last Friday night.
According to a report by KSAT, the 70-year-old Mateo Cordero Almaraz was hit at about 11 p.m. while walking across the freeway near Wiseman Boulevard.
After hitting Almaraz, the driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the median.
Almaraz was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges are expected to be filed against the driver involved at this time.
