Semi crash on westbound I-2 causes traffic delays

HARLINGEN, TX – Multiple lanes on westbound I-2 were closed due to a semi crash on Friday morning.

According to Valley Central, a semi jackknifed and hit a concrete barrier on westbound I-2 near the White Ranch Road exit around 11:09 a.m. The inside lane remained close for several hours while crews worked to straighten out the concrete center barrier. Traffic delays are expected in the area.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
