SUV strikes, injures 2 teens walking to Stevens High School

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Two girls are in critical condition after being struck by an SUV on Dugas Rd as they were walking to Stevens High School Friday morning, KENS 5 reports.

The SUV was driving on eastbound Dugas Rd near Steven’s High School when, for reasons unknown, it went onto the sidewalk and ran over the two girls, pinning them under the vehicle. Emergency crews rescued the girls.

Police say the SUV did not stop to check on or render aid to the victims. It is unclear if they were at the scene of the accident when the first responders arrived. The driver may face charges regarding the incident.
