Update: Driver dies following crash near New Laredo Hwy and Briggs Ave

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to Fox San Antonio, a man died in the hospital from injuries sustained in a crash near New Laredo Hwy and Briggs Ave Monday.

The driver of a Dodge Ram, a man in his 40s, was heading south on New Laredo Hwy when he struck a northbound Subaru hatchback around 5:15 a.m. The Ram driver then collided with a semi-truck.

First responders extricated the Ram driver from his vehicle and transported him to an area hospital in critical condition. The driver of the semi-truck suffered minor injuries. It is unclear if the Subaru driver was hurt in the collision.

The crash is under investigation.
