SAN ANTONIO, TX – Three people were sent to the hospital and one person is in custody after a suspected DWI collision on San Antonio’s northwest side Monday evening.
According to KENS, the incident took place sometime before 5:30 p.m. near the Northwest Military Highway interchange.
Investigators with SAPD say the driver of a flatbed truck, 27-year-old Danny Orellanes, was speeding and weaving through traffic when the vehicle collided with the rear of a pickup truck.
At least three other vehicles were involved in the crash. And three individuals were hospitalized, one of them in serious condition.
Orellanes was taken into custody under suspicion of DWI as a result of the crash.
