SAN ANTONIO, TX – Four people were sent to the hospital and one driver arrested following a suspected DWI collision Thursday morning.
According to KSAT, the accident occurred shortly after midnight within the 7200 block of Wurzbach Road near the intersection with Babcock Road.
Police say the unidentified driver of a white Nissan was traveling at a high rate of speed on Wurzbach Road when they T-boned a Ford Focus which was turning out of a parking lot.
First repsonders worked to pry the door of the Nissan and extricate three individuals inside. Two occupants were rushed to University Hospital in cirtical condition. The driver resposible for the crash along with a passenger in the Ford, were also hospitalized with non-life-threateneing injuries.
The driver in the Nissan admitted to drinking prior to the accident and will likely face DWI charges.
