SAN ANTONIO, TX – Four people were sent to area hospitals following two major collisions in south San Antonio Saturday night.
According to Fox 29 San Antonio, the accident took place at about 9 p.m. along US-281 near Mogford Road.
Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s office said the first accident occurred when a pickup truck rear-ended an 18-wheeler.
After the initial crash, a witness rushed to assist the driver of the pickup, who had been thrown from his vehicle. in the process, the bystander was struck by another oncoming vehicle.
The driver of the pickup was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. The other three individuals were transported via ambulance in stable condition.
